STRONG PERCEPTION AS A BUSINESS BANK

Spawn's work with Northrim Bank to build brand awareness as Alaska's "local business bank" lead to increased market share among Alaska businesses. However, Northrim still had challenges with household growth, with low consumer awareness of its personal banking products and services. Northrim just wasn't in the consumer consideration set when they were ready to "make the switch."

907 TIES US ALL TOGETHER

Alaskans, by nature, are very proud of their state. Much separates diverse communities in the largest state (terrain, roads, distance, available communications mediums, etc.). It's challenging to message to specific communities. So we took a united approach, highlighting the one thing that connects everyone: our area code. It became the star vernacular that said both local and pride, "907" was a vibrant and unique way to talk to the whole state regardless of location or industry. The campaign's look and feel was reminiscent of a stock market ticker, symbolizing shifts and change in the economy. Importantly, in the sea of these numbers, "907" (the customer and state) is what Northrim always puts first.
