Snapchat’s ad platform has been under construction for months, but until recently details about the API were largely unknown.
We now know that Snapchat has enabled A/B testing, email targeting, numerous interest-based targeting options and the ability to create lookalike audiences.
It’s expected that Snap Inc. will go public sometime in the coming year, and a robust programmatic ad platform could ensure its continued growth.
Facebook At Work launches in October.
Facebook plans to launch its enterprise communication and collaboration network Facebook At Work in the next few weeks on a per seat pricing model. Some of the features include a “Work Feed”, Groups and a messaging platform that includes audio and video calls.
This foray out of the traditional social media model and into productivity tools isn’t much of a surprise. As social media becomes a greater part of our lives, social media companies will continue to diversify their offerings.
With a creative use of Snapchat, Dos Toros Taqueria in New York City turned a nearby park, Bryant Park into “Burrito Park”. Locals can walk around the park where geofenced filters offering free menu items will appear, they snap a pic, show it to the store and get free food.
The stunt coordinated with the grand opening of their 12th location in the city that opened earlier this month.
